Time is running out! Memories stuck on antiquated media may be lost forever unless you turn to our professional team and move your film to DVD. We take enormous pride in the process we use to preserve your film. Our equipment is state of the art, and we offer personalised customer service, which translates to the highest quality technical work and personal attention throughout the process.

Our film to DVD transfer services includes standard 8mm and Super 8mm silent and sound film - yes, 8mm Sound does exist! We use a custom-made Frame by Frame Scanning Professional Projector for your Super 8 film and 8mm film transfers.

Unlike amateur or quick fix shops, we DO NOT simply video record your films on a screen or use cheap telecine boxes available on eBay. In fact, we don't use a projector at all in the conversion process. We use several special Hi-Quality purpose-built - Frame by Frame Film Scanning Units to convert your 8mm and Super8 Films to Hi-Quality Video Files.

During the film transfer process, a built-in camera focuses on the film's emulsion side as it passes through the scanner's gate and records individual frames. Sophisticated software then renders the captured footage to digital video directly onto the computer.

We follow this process by editing the film’s content and enhancing it further with video editing software. The real strengths of this transfer of film to DVD are the following:

  • The colours remain vivid.
  • There is no annoying flicker or pulsating light.
  • You won’t encounter hot spots.

After seeing the results of your films transferred to a digital format using Frame by Frame scanning technology, you will be impressed.

Although standard 8 or 8mm film with sound is rare, it does exist. We will transfer your 8mm sound films to DVD and USB by spending a little extra time editing the film during the process. 8mm film is still scanned by our Frame by Frame scanning projectors. However, we must then record the soundtrack separately on another 8mm sound projector before synchronising the audio with the visual components on the computer.

It's a bit more time-consuming; therefore, 8mm sound film is slightly more expensive than 8mm silent.

It is essential that experienced professionals, not amateur operators, handle your film. We constantly have to redo films and videos from clients who previously had their conversions done by inexperienced operators. We handle all film formats and most video formats every day of the working year. It's all we do…
