How do we capture 8mm & Super 8 film?

Our Custom made 8mm Projector has a high quality video camera mounted on the front of the unit. The video camera is focused directly on the enlarged gate of the projector. A sprocketless drive systems guides the films through the projector in complete synchronization with the computer. Each time a new frame comes up in the gate of the projector, it is stationary for a split second and the special software registers that frame's position within the video stream. Then, the film advances and the same thing happens for the next frame, and the next and the next and so on, for hundreds, even thousands of frames. The film is virtually captured in rapid fire by the video camera and the results are simultaneously delivered to the computer via a cable and a digital / analogue video converter unit.

Adjustments for brightness and contrast are made whilst your films
are being captured. The Special software that is only available with this Frame accurate projector, then encodes the results into digital video files. The Video files are then edited and enhanced further on computer, prior to the DVD being created.

All DVDs created from Projector films have background music added ( Silent films ) to create extra ambience.

An onscreen Menu with numerous chapter points are also created.

A free Backup copy of your Cine film DVD is also supplied.
