We Transfer Standard 8mm Silent and Sound ( Yes 8mm Sound does exist ! )

8mm & Super 8 film is captured using a custom made
Frame by Frame Scanning Professional Projector.

We DO NOT simply Video your films on a screen or use any of those cheap telecine boxes available on eBay.

This projector has a special Hi Quality Video camera mounted at the front of the unit,
focused on the film's emulsion side as it passes through the gate of the projector.

The Camera records every frame and sophisticated software then renders the captured footage to digital video directly onto the computer. The contents of the film are edited and enhanced further with Video editing software.

Manual Brightness & Contrast adjustments are done in real time as the film is playing through the projector.

We create fully functional DVDs with a Menu and as many chapter points as deemed necessary.

 

We also add tasteful and appropriate background music to silent footage, to enhance the atmosphere of the DVD playback.

A note about Standard 8 Sound film:

Although this type of film is rare, it does exist and we can definitely transfer your 8mm sound films onto DVD with a little extra time spent in the editing part of the process. 8mm film is still scanned by our Frame by Frame scanning projector, however, the soundtrack has to be recorded separately on another 8mm Sound projector before synchronizing the Audio with the Visual components later on the computer. Hence 8mm Sound film is a little more expensive then 8mm silent.

It is important for your films to be handled by experienced professionals and not amateur operators. Our head Film technician has over 45 years experience in the Cine film industry and is very well prepared for most repairs to any damaged, split, Vinegar syndrome effected and dirty films that we sometimes receive.

All clients will receive their original films back as well as their DVDs
